Just imagine gazing out at one of the most historical harbours in the Caribbean. The cool breeze embraces you while your ears are being caressed by lapping waves and soft music. To your right is the picturesque Port Louis Marina and to your immediate left is a small aquarium with tropical fishes.
All of a sudden the bartender places the drink you ordered in front of you with a warm smile and asks if you are ready to place your order. It is only then that you remember you are sitting at one of Grenada’s newest dining facilities; the chic Sails Restaurant.
Neatly seated on Grenada’s Carenage waterfront, the new Sails Restaurant offers a seafood cuisine but provides other menu options for vegetarians and other meat lovers. Although it has only recently been established, the Grilled Kingfish served with deep fried okras and pak choi has already been called the guest favourite. However, this should not deter you from trying the other delectable items on the menu. The sautéed plantains with a cinnamon, nutmeg and a brown sugar coating and the creamy pumpkin soup with red pepper coolie is highly recommended
At night, the Sails Restaurant is simply transformed into a lover’s nest. Candlelit tables, overhead lights, a mouthwatering cuisine and a boardwalk that wraps itself around the restaurant sets the tone for the night.
Reasonably priced, Sails Restaurant also offers a small lounge area, free parking, free internet use and an ideal location for cocktails, dinners and other intimate events. It is the perfect place for you if you would like to awaken your taste buds while experiencing tranquility at its best.
As they say at Sails, “don’t just eat…get the experience at Sails Restaurant and Bar.”
