The month of December has gotten much more exciting with the launch of Grenada’s first Camerhogne Folk Festival themed; ‘Old Grenada, New Grenada, One Grenada.’ This three day event scheduled from December 3rd to 5th 2010, will give you the opportunity to experience Grenadian folklore like never before.
The first evening will be one filled with theatrical entertainment! Performances include traditionally themed plays from local show biz practitioner Mr. Robert Whyte, the Heritage Drama Group, the Privilege Theatre and much more! The following day is themed ‘costume day.’ Everyone is encouraged to step out of the ordinary and wear traditional costumes. Children will be taught how to play traditional games, local cuisine will be displayed and traditional music will be played but the fun will not stop there. The final evening of the Festival will feature a fashion show, traditional folk performances and a grand exhibition.
On December 3rd, Low Town, Sauteurs in St. Patrick will give you a new way to experience Grenadian folklore.

It’s really a great idea to have more activities and entertainment to help in the attraction of visitors to Grenada. Camerhogne Folk festival would be I feel more lucrative later in the month of December, say mid December. Vacationer’s are then begining to arrive on the Island. More entertainment means more people, more people means more revenue for Grenada,in turn this help’s with putting bigger and classier and better performances. That is unless those date have a significant purpose. Thanks.
