GBT ANNOUNCES ITS PHOTO COMPETITION

Dateline St. George’s: Grenadians and visitors who have images that mirror the essence of Grenada have until September 20, 2010 to submit them to the Grenada Board of Tourism as part of a contest that has been organized to obtain images of Grenada’s sites and attractions, events, special occasions, Grenadian life, yachting and other unique scenery.

In return for opportunities to win several attractive prizes, participants are invited to showcase their talents and creativity while having fun exploring Grenada’s diverse product. Designated, original, high resolution, coloured entries, can include images that were obtained in Grenada, Carriacou or Petite Martinique as early as 2007. In cases where faces of individuals are used, it is incumbent on the photographer to have their consent, since the GBT assumes unrestricted exclusive rights to use all submitted images in its marketing programmes.

Prizes for various categories include cash monetary awards, the development of a personal website, accommodation at the True Blue Bay Resort and Flamboyant Hotel & Villas, Powerboat Eco Tours with Grenada Seafaris, two-tank dives, and dinners at the Aquarium Restaurant.

All photographs should be submitted before 3:00 p.m. on September 20, 2010 on a CD via e-mail to spicephoto@grenadagrenadines.com or online by way of submission forms. Only participants who submit a minimum of ten (10) photos will qualify for category prizes, while a minimum of fifteen (15) pictures must be submitted to be eligible for the grand prize.

Submitted photos must be accompanied by the participant’s name, address, contact number and e-mail address. They should also be titled in a location/year format. E.g.: grand_anse_2010.

Winners will be announced and notified on or about October 4, 2010.
