Grand Etang Lake

River Antoine Rum Distillery

No other distillery in the entire Caribbean has been in operation as long as River Antoine, and very few have so carefully maintained traditional methods of rum preparation. Visitors can watch as rum is made in much the same manner that it was in the 18th century, when it fired the throats of the real buccaneers.
Art Fabrik Batik Boutique and Workshop
Handpainted batik creations made in Grenada in the Art Fabrik workshop: inspired fashion, exciting accessories, jewellery and Caribbean art and craft. To quote a visitor: ”Art Fabrik is the most beautiful, exciting boutique with the most inspired fashion and best quality in Grenada.”
Their boutique is the sparkling diamond on Young Street, located in an historic 250-year old house just a short walk from the Carenage. As soon as you enter you are in a magical ambiance, surrounded by colourful Grenada made wearable art for children, women and men: dresses, pants, shirts, shorts, skirts, t-shirts, tops and accessories. Also art, soft sculptures, fabric for quilters, bags, table linen, designer jewellery, Grenada chocolate, local bamboo and coconut craft, to name just a few.... new one-of-a-kind batik creations fresh from the workshop daily!
Upstairs, a unique creative team produces batik wearable art in their bustling workshop, which is open to visitors. It is fascinating to see and learn about the complex and intriguing batik process first-hand. There’s a unique charm and energy to the place that is very seductive, with the smell of hot Grenadian beeswax, the artistic “disorder” and the irresistible air of sparkling creativity all adding to the experience.
