Q. Is there a decompression chamber?
A. Grenada does not currently have a decompression chamber, however there are chambers in Barbados and Trinidad, both only 30 minutes away by low flying plane. Air ambulance services are also available. All members of the Grenada Scuba Diving Association have an emergency plan and oxygen on board their dive boats.

Q. How deep are the sites and what is the visibility like?
A. Most sites vary from 20 feet (8m) to 120 feet (40m). Our deepest dive is the Bianca C which lies at approximately 160 feet. Visibility varies from 30 feet to 100 feet depending on the weather.

Q. What is the diving in Grenada like?
A. Diving in Grenada is as good as the better-known destinations in the Caribbean, with a large variety of fish, the largest wreck in the Caribbean (The Bianca C) and a wide range of site to accommodate divers of all levels from beginner to experienced. All of the dive centers are small operations, catering to groups of ten (19) divers at a time.

A. There are more than 28 sites in the waters surrounding Grenada and its many Grenadine islands. View list of dive sites.

Q. What marine life can you see?
A. The reefs are composed of finger coral, sea whips, sea fans, brain coral, pillar coral, black coral and deep-water gorgonians plus lost of colourful sponges, hydroids and soft coral.

Q. What sea creatures can you see?
A. You find rock beauties, angel fish, tang, grunts, damsel, blennys, parrot fish, trigger fish, jaw fish, spotted drum, moral eels, snake eels, lobsters, nurse sharks, barracudas, eagle rays, turtles, groupers and mackerels.

Q. Which International Dive Affliations exist?
A. All members of the Grenada Scuba Diving Association carry appropriate insurance and international affiliations including PADI, NAUI and BSAC.

Q. What type pf boats are used for diving?
A. Dive boats vary from Pirogues with ladders to larger boats with platforms.

Q. Is E6 slide film available?
A. No one in Grenada does high quality developing and there is generally no E6 slide film suitable for diving available.
