This festival, which began as a mere boat race in 1965, has evolved into a major Caribbean event and now includes keen competition among work boats from many islands - Grenada, Tobago, Martinique, Antigua and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

As usual, fans will gravitate to the skill and captaincy of some of the regions boatmen, as they jostle for supremacy in the various classes available.

Festivals highlights will include yacht racing, the Miss Aquaval Queen Show, Miss Wet T-Shirt, Donkey Racing, Greasy Pole and numerous cultural and sporting events.
