One
of Grenadaís most popular events, the La Source Grenada Sailing
Festival takes place during the last week of January each year.
The event, which attracts sailing enthusiasts from all over
the world, features several days of races and regattas and a
day-long craft market and street festival.
The first
Grenada Sailing Festival was held in January 1994. It was
jointly organized by the Grenada Board of Tourism and the
Grenada Yacht Club. The success of the inaugural sailing festival
helped put Grenada on the world map for international sailing
in the Caribbean.
