Nautical Events

Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique boast a year round list of regattas and races which not only test the sailing skills but also focus on the social aspect of yachting with numerous parties and fun activities for the non-sailing spectators too. One of the most notable yachting events is the Annual Grenada Sailing Festival; part of the important Annual Caribbean racing calendar held towards the end of January. This event features several days of races and excitement, as well as a day-long craft market and street festival. Another popular yachting event is the Carricou Regatta which is usually held during the first week of August .The Carriacou Regatta features races to Grenada, Union Island and Bequia. In addition to the races, there are various sporting events from volleyball competitions to donkey races and plenty of music.
